Meeting with an important delegation from the economic service of the French Embassy in Nairobi,
DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi received at the DIFTZ, an important delegation from the Economic Service of the French Embassy in Nairobi.
Led by Mr. Jérôme Baconin, Head of the Regional Economic Service and introduced by the French Ambassador to Djibouti, Mr. Arnaud Guillois.
This economic service, which aims to promote economic and commercial partnership, is staying in Djibouti to prepare for the visit of an important delegation of French employers (MEDEF), which will arrive in Djibouti in the coming months.
The aim was also to acquire investment opportunities in the infrastructure and logistics sectors offered by our country.
After a general presentation of the infrastructure projects already carried out and those in progress, the President exchanged at length with the delegation on the business opportunities of French SMEs and also the commercial opportunities offered by the new free zone, to French companies wishing to expand their market in Africa.
Note that the Head of Mission was accompanied by Mrs. Gaelle Siu-Jeng, Economic Attaché in Kenya, Mr. Etienne Provost and Mrs. Ies Jemili, respectively First Counselor and Economic Mission Officer of the French Embassy in Djibouti.
From the Djiboutian side, also participated in this meeting, the Directors General of the Port of Djibouti, SGTD, DPCR and the Ports’ Habor Master.
The delegation also visited the port infrastructures and the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone in turn, where they were able to observe remarkable advanced visuals carried on port development and free zones.
